The Winchester Street Mosaic

The Winchester Street Mosaic
John Palmer

The Winchester Street mosaic was completed in April 2015. Over 70 people took part in its creation, under the expert guidance of Joanna Dewfall, mosaic artist.

The mosaic depicts elements of Winchester Street’s rich and vibrant history over the last 100 years or so.

You can see the mosaic and its interpretation board at the top end of Winchester Street, to the right of the entrance to the subway through to Rampart Road.

  • What a wonderful mosaic. We were so pleased to be a part of making it, it has really brightened up this rather dull corner of Winchester Street.

  • The Mosaic is phenomenal. I am looking forward to seeing it up on the wall. All the little stories are so interesting. Well done all of you.
